We do and we dont..
I know this is real, because I searched, and I saw it with my own eyes,
You may know this is real too, or you may not, you might be skeptical, or you might suspect it to be true,
Either way, you should search.
"He who seeks finds"
There is a quote from the gospel of John, where Jesus says to Doubting Thomas, "You have seen and believed, but blessed are those who have not seen and have believed."
I needed to see it with my own eyes, and maybe you do too:
The truth can stand up to interrogation, so go: test, put it all to the test, Ask God to reveal himself to you,
It might not happen today; but persist, because he who seeks finds.
In terms of Christ?
I take it on faith based on the nature of God and his character that I saw with my own eyes.
Read it for yourself, see what you think, and ask the hard questions.
You can take my testimony, or you can go on your own quest to find the truth, however, If that's what you choose, I recommend you take it as far as it will go.
There is some measure of faith that's simply required for life too;
Faith that a seed will grow, faith that the paracetamol will work; faith that your heart will keep beating when you get up in the morning;
at some point we have to ask "who we are, and what do we trust";
I put my faith in this, on the basis that I met God, he was GOOD, and I saw that I could trust him, and this where he pointed me.
You'll have to answer these questions for yourself, but if "Putting your faith in jesus" or "Believing in God" seems too far of a jump for you;
ask "What would I need to see in order to believe this?"
Science led me to God, and if you're analytical; I would suggest you do the same.
The truth can stand up to interrogation, and it's worth being found; whatever it is;
So Go;
Seek and you will find.
